FAMA Streamlines Online Delivery System to Scale Ecommerce Services
AgroBazaar & AgroXpress
The Goal
- AgroBazaar Online is an eMarketplace initiated by the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry (MAFI) and managed by the Federal Agricultural Marketing Authority (FAMA). The platform was created to help producers, manufacturers, and suppliers of agricultural and agro-food products to market and sell their products thru an online channel.
- With the changes in consumer behavior towards online purchases, the team needs to ramp up the onboarding process and outreach more merchants within the industry onto Agrobazaar Online.
- AgroBazaar Online’s shipping configuration which is set by the merchant has led to difficulties in the onboarding process as each merchant’s requirement and access to the delivery company and its pricing are varies.

The Solution
- When looking for a courier company to standardize the shipping SLA and pricing, the team found Delyva which offers multiple courier and delivery services in a single platform.
- Delyva has connected to more than 20 delivery companies that consist of multiple types of delivery services like domestic courier, bulky delivery, instant delivery, and international express.

- AgroBazaar Online is built and integrated with DelyvaNow. Delivery options and their rates are displayed at checkout in real-time. DelyvaNow also supports multi-location pickup for eMarketplace’s multi-vendor and return operation.

Conclusion
- The team is in process of setting up AgroXpress, an online shipping platform for agriculture and agro-food merchant. AgroXpress is built using DelyvaX system and has an additional module of mobile apps for the rider/driver which the team plans to explore for crowdsourced delivery service during the offline event.
